Beef stew with white wine

- 1 kg beef for stew - meager
- 100 g lard
- 500 g onions
- 1 kg carrots
- 500 ml white wine
- 250 ml broth
- 1 kg potatoes - firm when cooked
- salt
- pepper
- 2 strands rosemary
- 3 tsp paprika
- 1 laurel leaf
- 3 tbsp oil
In a large casserole dish, brown the meat in the oil.
Add onions and carrots cut into rings, and bacon cut into strips. Sprinkle with paprika.
Moisten with white wine, bring to a boil.
Add broth, rosemary and bay leaf, salt and pepper. Cover and let cook at low temperature for 1 hour.
After one hour, add the cubed potatoes. Let cook for another hour.
At the end of the cooking time, adjust the seasoning and serve.
